The present study was aimed at assessing the knowledge regarding laughter yoga therapy among staff nurses in selected hospital at Kollam. The objectives of the study were to assess the knowledge regarding Laughter Yoga Therapy among staff nurses, to evaluate the effectiveness of Structured Teaching Program on knowledge regarding laughter yoga therapy among staff nurses, to find out association between pretest knowledge scores regarding Laughter Yoga Therapy among staff nurses with selected demographical variables. A quantitative research approach was employed for the research study. The research design adopted for the present study was pre experimental one group pretest post-test design. A total of 60 samples selected using random sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaire method. Pretest was conducted by using structured knowledge questionnaire followed by Structured Teaching Program. Result showed that an average scores of knowledge before and after Structured Teaching Program in the subjects were 07.23 and 12.01 respectively. The computed “t” value of knowledge regarding Laughter Yoga Therapy was 12.28 with p value 0.001. The result also revealed that there was no significant association between pre-test scores of knowledge and selected demographic variables hence the result showed that the structured teaching program was effective in improving knowledge of the staff nurses regarding Laughter Yoga Therapy.
